An exciting opportunity exists in our Infrastructure Team for a permanent full-time Engineering Assistant - Survey.
This position provides quality engineering services with a strong focus on customer service, communication and continuous improvement.
The role will provide assistance to the Roads Manager, Roads Coordinator and other Engineering Assistants for the management and development of engineering projects for urban and rural improvements which may include roads, kerb & gutter and drainage. Other duties include setting out survey, condition inspection, mapping as required by Council's Road Management Systems.
To be successful you will require a Certificate in Engineering, Spatial or progressing towards an equivalent qualification and experience, a Construction Induction Certificate, experience in construction and maintenance of roads with an ability to identify problem areas and have a sound knowledge of road survey and projects.

Benefits for you:
- The salary range is $2,559.03 to $2,873.84 per fortnight
- Starting salary to be determined commensurate with the qualifications and experience of successful applicant.
- The Grade applicable to the position is Grade 7 to 8 within Council's Salary Structure
- 76 working hours per fortnight with a rostered day off (9 Day fortnight)
- 3 weeks sick leave

- Employer Superannuation of 11.5%
- Employment is under the Local Government (State) Award
