An opportunity exists to kick start your career working in our Infrastructure Services team as a Plant Operator Level 2!
This position's responsibilities and duties vary daily and could include labouring duties and the operation of plant items such as tractors, mowers and rollers. You could also be involved in road construction and maintenance, park and garden maintenance or other projects around our Shire.
The Lachlan Shire Council has two vacancies (1x casual position and 1x full-time position) based at our Tottenham Depot.
To be successful you will need:
- a Class 'C' Drivers Licence
- a Medium Rigid Licence (or willing to obtain within 3 months)
- Construction Induction Card (White Card)
- previous experience operating plant items
- basic knowledge of plant maintenance
- the ability to work with a team

- The Grade applicable to the position is Grade 4 within Council's Salary Structure
- Working 76 hours per fortnight with a rostered day off (9 Day fortnight) (if full-time)
