Plant Operator Level 3 - Loader (6 Month Contract)

Lachlan Shire Council is seeking a motivated person to undertake a variety of duties from labouring to major plant operation, typically Loader and occasional to regular truck driving. May be required to lead and supervise small gangs or project teams from time to time.

In this role, you will ensure the operation of plant, principally the 4 wheeled loader also including; hand held and hand operated machinery, ride-on mowers, rollers and tractors with attachments are undertaken efficiently, Ensure plant and equipment are regularly serviced and maintained and ensure professional and competent supervision of small gangs or project teams.

This position is a Full-time contract for 6 months.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of plant maintenance
  • Construction Induction Certificate
  • Loader competency
  • Good literacy skills
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • A current Class C Driver Licence

What we Offer

Salary and Conditions: 

  • Salary range: $2,315 to $2,488 per fortnight
  • Starting salary will be determined based on qualifications, skills, and experience.
  • Position classified at Grade 5 within Council's Salary Structure.
  • Employment conditions in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award.
