Lachlan Shire Council is looking for a motivated and dedicated person to join our Tottenham Water & Sewer Team in the position of Plant Operator Reticulation Maintenance!

In this role, you will perform a variety of duties from labouring to plant operation, typically related to the operation, maintenance, repair and installation of water and sewerage reticulation, pumping stations and reservoirs.

This position is Full-time, based in Tottenham NSW.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Medium Rigid Licence or able to obtain within 3 months
  • Previous work related experience
  • Construction Induction Card (White Card)
  • Backhoe Competency 
  • Good customer service and communication skills
  • Basic reading and writing skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge of plant maintenance
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • The ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also demonstrating initiative and self-motivation.

What we Offer

Salary and Conditions: 

  • Salary range: $2,315 to $2,488 per fortnight
  • Starting salary will be determined based on qualifications, skills, and experience
  • Position classified at Grade 5 within Council's Salary Structure
  • Employment conditions in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award
