Lachlan Shire Council's Infrastructure Services Team are looking for a Survey Assistant - Roads!
This position provides quality engineering services with a strong focus on communication and continuous improvement, provides assistance to the Roads Manager and Roads Coordinator on the management and development of engineering project for urban and rural improvements. These may include roads, kerb and gutter, drainage and other duties include setting out survey, condition inspection, and mapping as required as required by Council's Road Management Systems.
This full-time role is based in Condobolin NSW and would be best suited to an applicant looking to gain entry to, or advance their career in survey and civil construction.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Class 'C' Drivers Licence
- Construction Induction Certificate (White Card)
- A Certificate III in Surveying and Spatial Information Services (or similar qualification) or willing to undertake study at Council's expense
- Sound administrative and computer skills, including Mircosoft Office applications
- The ability to use technology to collect, manage and record data
- Well-developed interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to build positive working relationships..
- The ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also demonstrating initiative and self-motivation.

What we Offer
Salary and Conditions:
- Salary range: $2,741 to $3,078 per fortnight
- Starting salary will be determined based on qualifications, skills, and experience.
- Position classified at Grade 7-8 within Council's Salary Structure.
- Employment conditions in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award.
