Lachlan Shire Council is seeking a motivated and professional Grants Officer to join our team.
This full-time role, based in Condobolin, is responsible for supporting Council and community groups with the effective management of the grant application process.
This includes preparation of information for applications, writing of Council grant applications and maximising Council's and the community opportunities to receive grant and subsidy revenue in line with Council's strategic goals and priorities under the Integrated Planning and Reporting (IP&R) framework.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need:- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field of study, or willingness to undertake studies to achieve these qualifications combined with relevant work experience
- Demonstrated achievement in sourcing external funding for community projects and programmes
- Demonstrated strong communication skills and positive customer focus, including active listening, public speaking and report writing
- Proven ability to operate with a high level of autonomy and ownership of responsibilities
- Capacity to work and participate actively within a collaborative team environment
- A current Class C Drivers Licence
- Working with children check clearance
- A high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- The ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also demonstrating initiative and self-motivation

What we Offer
Salary and Conditions:
- Salary range: $3,108.58 to $3,670.63 per fortnight
- Starting salary will be determined based on qualifications, skills, and experience
- Position classified at Grade 10-11 within Council's Salary Structure
- Employment conditions in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award
